In 2019, Yamaha marked the 50th year of the PA division, and, to celebrate, Yamaha have released limited editions of their popular HS-series studio monitors: the ‘HS MP’ models. Maintaining the same rigorous design principles that have guided the Yamaha design legacy, the HS MP ships in a paired carton adorned with a ‘MP’ (Matched Pair) sticker, and includes speakers with matching serial numbers. A special production process utilises carefully selected electrical components and precise measurements to ensure high pairing accuracy.
Yamaha are confident that this special pair of stereo monitor speakers will play a valued role in your recording, mixing, and mastering work.
Enhance your mixing with the precision and accuracy of these Yamaha HS8 8-inch Active Studio Monitors. Boasting a two-way bass-reflex, these studio monitors offer the most precise and honest reference during the mixing process, characteristic of the trusted Yamaha brand.
The XLR and TRS phone jack inputs are designed to accept unbalanced or balanced signals, while the high trim response controls and room control give you the tools you need to craft and monitor your sound in the studio or on stage. The high-performance amplification stemming from 120 watts of power makes these studio monitors a must-have for the amateur or professional music lover.
Each part of the HS5 monitors is engineered to eliminate sonic interference, so you can rest assured that the sound you hear in the studio is true to life. A sophisticated dome tweeter ensures precision in the highest frequencies, and a large cone woofer delivers defined low bass lines at any volume level. The tweeter and woofer come with perfectly matched power amps to reduce feedback. A carefully designed enclosure encases the monitors' electronic and physical components, offering protection and killing unwanted frequencies that can sabotage clarity. What's more, with the room-control and high-trim response controls, you can adjust the monitors to suit the layout of your studio and minimise distortion.

Hi Shane, sorry to hear you are having an issue. This will be software related rather than a fault with the unit - we suggest contacting Serato support via the Serato website. They will be ale to troubleshoot this for you and hopefully resolve it.
Comparing this to my old 1210's - feels like a solid upgrade, the motor and the plater feels great with a lot of power, matching speeds and beat-matching is easy and that was most important to me. The layout of the other controls and ports etc could be better (in my opinion) but I will get use to it. Thanks team for a prompt dispatches and help on these and hope they will last me a lifetime.
