Coreless Direct Drive Motor for Stable Rotation

Retaining the outstanding performance of the SL-1200MK7, the direct drive system uses a slow-turning motor to directly drive the platter, offering high performance, accuracy, and powerful torque without needing part replacements. While traditional direct drive systems had issues with rotation irregularity (cogging), the SL-1200M7GL/M7G features a new coreless direct drive motor that eliminates this problem. The motor’s improved magnetic force and optimized gap between the stator and rotor ensure smooth rotation and high
torque, matching the performance of the SL-1200MK5. This results in accurate and faithful sound reproduction from your records.
