Every iD interface features the Audient Console Mic Preamp, the same discrete circuit design found in Audient's renowned recording console the ASP8024-HE. The Audient mic pre is a high grade hybrid discrete and op amp design that delivers a clean, accurate and detailed translation of your source. With a noise floor 30,000 times quieter than the signal level your recordings will be captured with stunning clarity. Offering an incredible 126dB of dynamic range, iD44’s class leading converters have been designed to deliver the most honest and natural translation of your audio, helping you hear subtle detail, identify problematic issues and make better mix decisions. The MKII sees a massive 9dB improvement on the ADC’s THD+N figure, meaning clean audio with less added noise and even less audible distortion.

Supporting both ADAT and SPDIF, boost your I/O by adding up to 16 channels of mic preamps to your setup. Integrate your favourite outboard FX prior to conversion and start creating signal chains that rival the very best. The insert returns also gives you direct access to the A/D converters providing the cleanest signal path possible, making it great for print-backs or integrating outboard line level sources. Designed to replicate the input stage of a classic valve amplifier, iD44 features two harmonically rich JFET Instrument Inputs giving you the perfect sonic foundation for your guitars or basses before you hit your amp sims.

Connect and listen to your mixes through two sets of speakers with iD44’s four line outputs. Alternatively use the extra line outputs to send audio to an external headphone amp for distribution to your artists. Easily record and collaborate with others by utilising iD44’s two individual stereo headphone amps, both providing more than enough power for your headphones to perform accurately. Lost your headphone adaptor or need a third set of headphones? iD44 now benefits from the addition of a dual headphone output, including both a 1/4” jack and a mini-jack, on headphone output one, providing even more monitoring flexibility when you need it.

Now equipped with Audio Loop-back, iD44 can quickly transform into a multi-purpose powerhouse. Giving you the ability to capture playback from multiple applications on your computer at the same time as your microphones, Audio Loop-back lets you create a custom audio feed ready to send to your streaming software. The iD mixer tightly integrates hardware and software, letting you effortlessly set up low latency direct monitoring, create up to four stereo artist cue mixes, name and customise channels, save layout presets, assign hardware function buttons and quickly setup advanced routing. iD44’s Loop-back feature is also controlled via the Software Mixer, enabling you to select the Loop-back source from 6 different options to suit a variety of practical scenarios. Endless possibilities, speedy workflow. iD44’s dedicated talkback technology enables you to use any audio source connected to your computer such as a built-in or USB microphone as your talkback mic, freeing up valuable mic preamps for recording. Speed up your workflow with iD44’s three programmable function buttons. Assign any of the advanced monitoring features, including Speaker Select, Mono Sum, Polarity Reverse or Cue Mix monitoring, to any of the F-buttons and quickly take control of your session. Turn iD44’s volume knob into a virtual scroll wheel and take control of a variety of compatible onscreen parameters. iD44 comes with both a standard USB Type-A cable and a USB Type-C cable enabling you to connect to any USB compatible Mac or PC supporting USB 2.0 or above.
