Technics SL-1200 MK3D Direct-Drive Turntable
Differences between the SL-1200MK3D and the SL-1200MK2
The Technics SL-1200MK3D Turntable has these differences from the original MK2: 1) power switch is sunken to prevent accidental turn-off. 2) includes a quartz lock button which resets the pitch control to zero (regular speed) immediately. 3) no ""click"" at zero on the pitch control 4) comes with a high quality Technics 2 piece slipmat. 5) Dust cover does not include hinges.
Technics SL-1200MK2 Turntable
The Technics 1200MK2 has been the industry standard for 25+ years. For all intents and purposes, this is the exact same turntable as the contemporary MK5 series, just without some of the new features, and the Technics 1200 remains the preferred choice for all types of djing.
The Technics SL-1200MK2 Turntable is the turntable that first established the type of high torque (motor strength), accurate pitch (speed control), quality tone arm (aids in skip resistance), and superior sound that is required by djs; and after 25+ years it is still the standard by which all other turntables are judged. Every other turntable that has come since has patterned their design off this legendary piece of equipment, and the reason is simple: the 1200MK2 is about as close to perfection as you can get with a piece of machinery. It functions beautifully and the durability and construction are unmatched. The body and major components are made of steel. The bottom of the body is made of a dense rubber that eliminates distortion and feedback and adds extra weight for stability. Most of the basic parts are readily available and user replaceable.

About Premium Grade refurbished Technics
Premium Grade refurbished turntables are individually selected and put through an extensive inspection by experienced technicians - over 100 separate mechanical and electrical areas of each turntable are inspected and tested. Any parts that don’t pass the inspection are replaced with original Technics parts. Each turntable is usually fitted with a brand new tone-arm, pitch-slider, start-stop buttons, speed control buttons and on-off switch. Once the turntables have passed their inspection, they are re-calibrated to factory specification and the turntable is then given a detailed clean and polish before being offered for sale. A 12 month warranty is included with Premium Grade refurbished turntables covering technical defects and workmanship.
Although fully tested and serviced, refurbished turntables may display some minor surface marks or wear, due to the age of the individual turntable. These are generally only minor and cosmetic in nature, and we are happy to email photos of any of the refurbished turntables we have for sale (or they can be inspected in-store). Premium Grade refurbished turntables don’t usually include all of the original accessories, such as the headshell, dust cover, slip-mat and original box. The 45 adaptor is included. Our Premium Grade refurbished turntables are supplied in NZ voltage (230 V) with NZ plugs.
