Simple & Powerful
ME-500 is designed to give musicians powerful, detailed control over their monitor sound, without the distraction of complex menus and clutter. The rotary control beneath the display navigates and controls most functions and, together with the dimmable, backlit keys – including dedicated Solo and Mute controls – and display, makes it easy to find your way around ME-500, even in the dark. Each ME-500 can store and recall 8 user presets, so mixes can be saved for different songs, musicians or shows. Presets and whole configurations can be saved to USB for archiving or swapping between ME-500s.
Plug ‘n’ Play Setup
With ME-500 there’s no time-consuming configuration of individual units. The first 16 mono / stereo channels and / or mixes assigned from the mixer will be automatically mapped to ME-500’s 16 select keys, so it’s fast and simple to deploy personal mixers in pressured situations such as festivals.
Build quality
Designed in the UK and built to Allen & Heath’s zero compromise standards, the ME-500 is tough enough for the rigours of touring. Add the peace of mind factor of locking EtherCon connectors and you have a mixer that’s ready for whatever you throw at it.
Sound Pedigree
We know that the quality of their monitors has a profound effect on a musician’s performance and on their enjoyment of the show. ME-500 continues Allen & Heath’s long-standing tradition of exceptional audio quality, delivering 16 channels of clean, uncoloured sound. The headphone amp design delivers plenty of power, complemented by ME-500’s built-in limiter to protect performers’ ears from unexpected spikes in levels.
Compatible with Allen & Heath, Aviom®, DiGiCo, Yamaha, Avid and more…
When a personal mixing system sounds this good you want everyone to hear it, so we’ve made it possible for ME-500 to interface with most digital audio systems. If you’re using one of our own digital mixers or swapping out older Aviom® A-Net 16 units, ME-500 is compatible right out of the box. If you’re using other digital mixers you’ll need to add a ME-U hub fitted with a Dante, MADI, Waves or EtherSound module.
Scalable
Whether you’re working with a soloist, a full orchestra or more, ME has you covered. There is no limit to the number of ME personal mixers you can add to a system, plus you’re free to mix and match ME-1s and ME-500s, so everyone can enjoy great monitors. Secure EtherCon connectors allow ME-500s to be daisy-chained, or deployed in a star topplogy using the ME-U or an off-the-shelf PoE switch.
8 user presets
Levels, pan, mutes and key assignments can all be stored and recalled at the touch of a button.
Presets for different bands and application scenarios can be conveniently copied to USB key or the whole configuration saved.
Ideal for archiving or quick transferring to other units.
Free standing or surface mounted
ME-500 can be used standalone or mounted on the top of a mic stand.
There’s also an optional bracket available (part number AB8999) for mounting the mixer on the side of a mic stand.
