A REBORN CLASSIC

The PLX-1000 is precision engineered for the booth, drawing on 50 years’ experience of making high-end turntables. The result is a familiar layout with some next generation improvements, including a high-torque direct drive system, multi-pitch control, club-grade build and sound quality, and detachable power and audio cables. It’s solidly built for excellent vibration damping and ultra-precise, high-grade audio playback. Simply add your choice of cartridge and stylus to the PLX-1000 (not included) and combine with your mixer for an ideal setup for turntablists.

The Pioneer PLX 1000 turntable is the new industry standard for vinyl and ‘DVS’ system DJs alike. This Direct Drive Analog turntable was designed with superior sound quality and the needs of the modern working DJ mind. The Pioneer PLX 1000 turntable has kept to a classic, clean look, with no unnecessary bells and whistles. The PLX 1000 is a true workhorse and suitable for both DJs and home listeners who enjoy the look, feel, and performance of vinyl for music playback.  The PLX 1000 is a very viable alternative to the now discontinued Technics 1200.

Pioneer PLX 1000: Close to the "original"

Pioneer has kept it’s design close to the ‘original’ Technics SL-1200 but with several added improvements. These improvements including a high-torque direct drive system, multi-pitch control, club-grade build, superior sound quality and detachable power and RCA audio cables (essentially saving you from costly repairs down the road). Where the original SL-1200 could pitch between + and - 8% the Pioneer PLX 1000’s pitch is divided into three different ranges - 8%, 16% and 50%. The +/- 16% can bridge the gap between 33RPM and 45RPM, and the +/- 50% opens the door for some extreme creativity in ‘juggles’ and ‘mixing’ alike. The turntable can achieve a starting torque of at least 4.5kg/cm and can reach its fixed rotation speed within 0.3 seconds (at 33 1/3 rpm).

Pioneer PLX 1000 Stability

A concern with all turntables is their sensitivity to vibrations. Pioneer has recognized this and has developed a few clever solution to combat this. The inside of the tonearm has a rubber tubing to reduce the ’howling’ effect. The upper part of the turntable’s main body is made of a heavy metal die cast zinc, while the bottom section is made from a solid 8mm think resin, with a base consisting of 9mm of thick vibration-resistant material. The result is a turntable ready to handle the most vibration full environment.
