The Vestax 06-Pro is a proven 2-channel mixer with a slim profile and high quality VCA crossfader and components. The 06-Pro has been a Vestax bestseller for over 10 years because of its price, profile, and straight-forwardness.

The 06-Pro is a basic 2-channel (2 phono + 2 line inputs) mixer designed with the active DJ in mind (scratch + mixing). It features a very slim design (designed by Shortkut of ISP) to bring the distance between your tables to a minimum. This is especially helpful for trick mixing and juggling. It features a replaceable CF-PCV crossfader with curve control, which is the same high quality fader used in higher priced models. It was also the first mixer to introduce the innovative "hamster switch" that allows you to reverse the channel inputs to suit your scratch preference. Basic features include a 2-band EQ as well as gain and pan on each channel as well as replaceable volume faders and multi-directional input (transformer) switch. There is no mic input.

If you're looking to purchase a quality dj mixer on a budget, you can't get much better than the 06 in terms of reliability and value. The lack of a mic channel and mid-channel EQ would be the only minuses, but its over quality, unique design and clean layout more than make up for those.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. CAN I CHANGE THE SECOND HEADPHONE OUTPUT TO A MIC INPUT?
No, this is not possible within the circuitry of the mixer.

2. I HAVE A RECORD THAT HAS POOR MID-RANGE FREQUENCIES IN THE RECORDING, BUT THE PMC- 06PROA ONLY HAS BASS AND TREBLE CONTROLS. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
To boost the mid range, cut the bass and treble controls slightly and boost the gain control to the optimum level.

3. I’VE HEARD THE STANTON MIXERS USES THE SAME CROSSFADER AS THE PMC-06PRO. IS THIS TRUE?
No, the Stanton SK2 uses a similar ALPS fader to the older version from the Vestax "PRO" series. This fader has now been upgraded exclusively within the Vestax range to the CF-PCV design, which is considerably smoother and has a lifespan almost seven times longer than the original fader. This new fader has been judged by professional turntablists as the new industry standard.

4. CAN I CHANGE THE INPUT FADER CURVE ON MY MIXER?
Yes, underneath the top panel you can access all three faders for adjustment and Crossfader. The two input faders have a three pole switch for adjusting the curve of the fader from a "sharp cut-in" to a "smooth mix "top of the fader cut-in". This is to allow DJ’s to set the fader to particular styles of mixing.
